Privacy
What this site collects, and why.
The short version
This site doesn’t use advertising trackers and doesn’t sell or share your data. Visit counts are anonymous and cookie-free. A device identifier only runs if you say yes, and messages you send me go straight to my inbox and nowhere else.
Who I am
This is the personal site of Faith Abiola. I decide what is collected here and why. You can reach me about anything on this page at hello@faithabiola.com.
Anonymous analytics
I use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to see which pages are read and how fast they load. They don’t use cookies and don’t identify you. They record things like the page, the referring site, your country, browser and device type, and page speed, in aggregate. This runs for every visitor because it can’t be used to recognise anyone.
Device identifier (only with your consent)
If you choose Accept on the banner, I load Fingerprint, a service by FingerprintJS, Inc. It creates an identifier for your browser so I can tell when someone comes back, for example when a company I’ve written to returns to the page I made for them. It processes your IP address and browser details on Fingerprint’s servers in the EU.
If you choose Decline, or don’t choose, Fingerprint is never loaded. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Your choice is kept in a small first-party cookie called fa_consent for six months. That cookie is the only one this site sets.
Pages made for a company
Some outreach emails link to a page made for one company. When one of these pages is opened, the anonymous analytics above record that it was viewed, with the company’s name. This tells me a company looked, not who you are.
The contact form
When you send a message, your name, email, company and message are emailed to me through Resend. Nothing is saved in a database. The email in my inbox is the only copy, and I delete it when it’s no longer needed for our conversation.
To stop spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser in the background. Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address for this, and Turnstile doesn’t set cookies.
Where the site runs
The site is hosted by Vercel and its content is stored with Sanity. Like any web server, they process your IP address to deliver pages and may keep short-lived logs for security.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what I hold about you, and ask me to correct or delete it. You can also withdraw consent at any time. Email me and I’ll reply within a month. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
